If i recall correctly it made the MUs more chatty with NPCs and the spells grease, taunt, and mount got a lot of use. Eventually with cumulative adventuring the players had many of the old standards and fireballs bloomed fequently. Then tell him these spells DO NOT EXIST in this campaign.
